Abstract
Resilience is at times reduced to a simple performance standard, defined as the capacity to recover quickly and return to baseline. This practicum proposes a far richer and more hopeful understanding of this trait. Integrating contemporary psychological research with the ancient theology of biblical lament, it argues that resilience is not primarily the ability to survive adversity, but the active work of being remade through it.
Across four structured movements, this volume examines the science of human adaptation, the transformative grammar of the Psalms, and a framework for bridging these complementary streams. The volume concludes with five practical disciplines designed to invite honest reflection, cognitive reframing, relational grounding, and spiritual formation.
Published as part of The Fifth Stream Library, a curated repository of foundational frameworks, monographs, and applied practicums designed for restorative integration and human formation.
